Brookland Cemetery takes credit card payments. Sometimes, we have needed to take a little from several family members on their credit card to cover the burial costs.

Brookland Cemetery takes life insurance assignments, whereby the burial needs are met on credit awaiting the payout of the insurance policy at a later time.

If the extended family is completely destitute, we encourage them to go to their church or others for assistance; and many do. The acts of charity in our neighborhood are great indeed.

Additionally, there are many price points in choosing ones burial services. We have services, products and options to fit most everyone’s need.

The one thing that Brookland Cemetery, nor any cemetery that we know, will do is to bury whereby we finance the cost. Though we could, the options for collection in the event of default are untenable. We cannot evict the buried loved one, and we prefer to never have to resort to legal collection means against a grieving family. For this reason, we will not finance the burial, but instead plead with the families to plan ahead and take advantage of our easy finance terms, or make other arrangements to cover the burial costs at need.
